Mike Steadman
I found Mike Steadman on High & Potomac with his wife Brenda and daughter Samantha (14). They left North Platte, Nebraska on May 30th when Samantha got out of school, looking for work and a place to live. Now, months and thousands of miles later, they are still searching for these basic necessities.

Belly-landing
LT. Mike Zaiko was the pilot of the C-2 Greyhound that had a landing gear malfunction yesterday evening resulting in a belly-landing. None of the 24 crew or passengers were injured. Photographed on the Norfolk Naval Base in Norfolk, VA on August 16th, 2005.

Vacuum your lawn
Vernon Casey (75) of Chesapeake Virginia shows me an old vacuum cleaner that he is throwing out. He said he had it for more than 15 years. Casey can't afford a car, so he rides his bike to the store and on his errands. This grows more difficult as his arthritis gets worse.
